Every professional sports player likely gets a kick out of seeing digital versions of themselves in video games. However, seeing yourself is only really nice when the actually looks like you.
In a hilarious reveal on Twitter, it became apparent that several NFL players' Madden counterparts weren't exactly satisfactory. Or at all accurate, in some cases.
Houston Texans defensive lineman Christian Covington started things off by posting a screenshot of his Madden NFL 2019 video game avatar and hilariously expressed how he wasn't too pleased with the result:
Guess I have to accept the fact that I’m ugly now…. Say it ain’t so Madden…. smh pic.twitter.com/fTcmitdrEw

The sweats! They really had him looking like he just ate a whole ghost pepper casserole.

Even Covington's own squad couldn't hold back the laughter:

Covington inspired others to join in on the self-deprecating fun:
You think that's bad, they made Trent Taylor look like my ugly ass… pic.twitter.com/kw3obl9V2U

"You think that's bad, they made Trent Taylor look like my ugly ass," tweeted sports broadcaster Benjamin Allbright, who tweeted a picture of the San Francisco 49ers wide receiver's Madden "likeness."
In arguably the most hilarious example of them all, they gave mutton chops to Daron Payne of the Washington Redskins.
Yes, this happened.
Did yall see what they did to my mans Daron Payne?! Why does he have mutton chops? pic.twitter.com/PHgZ19wtCP

Do better.
