When people say started from the bottom, people like Washington D.C., resident Ronne Brown really mean it.

The wife, mother, coach, author, speaker and successful entrepreneur had extremely humble beginnings. When she was younger, critics often discouraged her because she was a teen mom with little funds and prospects. But now she laughs as she runs her million-dollar company.

While she was pregnant, Brown worked as a janitor to support herself and her unborn child. The odds were against her but it did not stop her from launching two companies that aimed at helping others build personal wealth for their families.

From 2009 to 2014, Brown started and ran two successful organizations. In 2009, she founded the High Heels High Goals non-profit organization that prepares and teaches women how to become successful entrepreneurs. The organization also empowers women to achieve their goals and implement their ideas successfully.

In 2014, she started The Millionaire’s Academy, which is for men and women. The organization teaches people how to generate income from home, create a six-figure income for themselves and manage debt to live a debt-free life. Her personal triumph is used as the basis of the program.

"Far too often we cheat ourselves from experiencing the full glory of our visions because we have false expectations of what the journey actually looks like," Brown wrote in an August journal entry on her site. "The journey will require a ton of grit. If you’re serious you must fully commit, never give up and do whatever it takes, because your vision depends on it."

Now, she earns a seven-figure income without taking a business course or receiving formal training. For more of Brown's achievements, check out her site
