OG Diplomat and Harlem extraordinaire Freekey Zekey has resurfaced on  Flip da Script to recount the gripping tale of the night he was shot, hit by a car, chain snatched and then labeled a snitch

In a masterful and animated oration that only a true New Yorker could give, Zekey, whose real name is Ezekiel Giles, detailed the 2003 car incident that ended in gunfire and tarnished his street reputation. During his epic storytelling, he repeats the word “n***a” and substitutes sounds and body movement for actual words.

According to him, it was the night of the first show where he performed with Cam'ron, Juelz Santana and Jim Jones as the iconic rap group The Diplomats at Jimmy’s Café in the Bronx. After the show, Zekey decided to meet up with Jones at a different club in Manhattan.

“I’m looking for parking, and a n***a hit my truck,” he says. “My father told me that’s the move. They hit your truck, you get out to see what’s going on, they see the jewelry you got on you. When I got out, I was on the run. I was like, 'F**k, I don’t want to get locked up!' We go around the corner and they just sitting there. I should have known.”

Still thinking it was a minor car accident and not wanting to involve the police because of unresolved legal matters, Zekey suggested that the bad drivers just give him “some bread” for the damages and be done with it.

“They standing there looking like a lump on a log, so I said, ‘Yo! Who’s the n***a with the money so we can get the f**k up out of here?’” he recalled.

That’s when the assailant in front of him started to draw his gun.

“My brother always taught me, if you in arm’s reach of the gun – go for it. He did it, I grabbed his muthaf**king hand. The n***a started letting off, boopbopbedopbaboopbopboopbop,” Freekey Zekey scatted.

“Once it stopped, I spun the n***a around I put the n***a in a Full Nelson,” he continued.

He then imitated being in the aforementioned wrestling hold and kept the position for several seconds.

“Once the shots was going off, the two n****s that was over there, that was down there, pulled out the hammer and the n***a right here pulls out the hammer,” Zekey said in detail.

Not to be deterred, Zekey used the gentlemen whose body he had contorted in the wrestling move, as a shield.

“Now when these n***as is trying to shoot me, I’m aiming this muthaf**king n***a to all the hammers,” he said while whipping his body in a vigorous reenactment.

However, during the shooting, Zekey's lower body was left exposed where he ultimately ended up getting shot.

“And that’s how he hit me, boom-bow!”

His story didn't end there though. Zekey said he got his chain snatched before catching it in mid-air and ended up losing a friend to the gunfight. He recalled blacking out just before telling his friends to tell the police he’s “George Moore from Puerto Rico” and handing them his chain for safekeeping.

Zekey alleges that he woke up in the hospital handcuffed to a bed. His failure to cooperate with the police resulted in his words being twisted and Zekey receiving the label of being a snitch, which he denies. He served three years in prison on unrelated drug charges.
