Yesterday, we recapped an interview from online publication The Guardian with pop singer Tinashe where she addressed the fact that her career has plateaued due to the lack of support from the black community that only supports Beyonce and Rihanna. She went on to say that sometimes she doesn't feel like she fully fits into the black community. Although she sees herself as a black woman (Tinashe is bi-racial) they don't accept her…

And of course, the Twitter clap back was merciless as only they can do when it comes to putting someone in their place.

Reminding her that it's not the community's fault but her team that keeps failing her.

Reminding Tinashe what we originally stated, the way she views the world from personal experiences is the real issue.

Hitting Tinashe was straight facts, as hurtful as they may be.

And some people had sympathy for her because at the end of the day she is talented.

Tinashe wasn't going to take this fight sitting down. She chimed in with her own tweets, addressing the fact that the state was taken out of context. "I was not talking about colorism in the industry. This is taken out of context," Tinashe clears up. "The article framed it as such, about success in music, whereas the conversation we had was about my experiences growing up in general."

Either way, whether Tinashe meant it in regards to the music industry or the black community in general, she still said it. I hope she takes this as a learning lesson and really hash out her insecurities and feelings that were inflicted on her growing up, hires a new management team, hit the studio and put out a fire project. She deserves.
