Thrilled to introduce PATTERN // my new hair care brand specifically for curly, coily, and tight textured hair.⠀ ⠀ @patternbeauty is the result of 20 years of dreaming, 10 years in the making (I wrote my first brand pitch in 2008, right when girlfriends finished ) and 2 years of working with chemists. I’m so excited to share this with y’all. ⠀ ⠀ @patternbeauty is here to empower and nourish curly, coily and tight-textured hair. 3b to 4c. The formulas are unique and packed with luscious & safe ingredients-trust me I know, because my panel and I tried 74 different samples to get these 7 formulas for phase one.⠀ ⠀ @patternbeauty is for those of us who need more than a quarter size of product. large conditioner sizes that actually fulfill the unmet needs of our community. accessible pricing because everyone should have access to their most beautiful hair in their own shower, and gorgeous packaging that conjures the legacy of our history and makes us all feel like the royalty that we are. ⠀ ⠀ I’m excited for PATTERN to join the natural hair movement, and to celebrate our hair for what it is: beautiful! The line will be available on patternbeauty.com this Monday, September 9 at 9am ET!!!! #RockYourPattern

“[Pattern Beauty] is the result of 20 years of dreaming, 10 years in the making (I wrote my first brand pitch in 2008, right when girlfriends finished) and 2 years of working with chemists,” she wrote. “I’m so excited to share this with y’all.”

Ross explicitly stated the products were created for people with 3b to 4c hair, aka Black people.

Pattern Beauty’s launch will include two serums, shampoo, a leave-in conditioner, a shower brush, a microfiber towel, a hair clip and three conditioners. If the trio of conditioners wasn’t impressive enough, the largest size is 29 ounces.

The price range starts at $9 and tops off at $42.

The Mixed-ish star knows the hair struggle can be real.

“[Pattern Beauty] is for those of us who need more than a quarter size of product,” read a caption on the brand's Instagram. “Large conditioner sizes that actually fulfill the unmet needs of our community. Accessible pricing because everyone should have access to their most beautiful hair in their own shower, and gorgeous packaging that conjures the legacy of our history and makes us all feel like the royalty that we are.”

The accessibility of Pattern is extremely important to Ross. She wants everyone to have great hair, regardless of their budget.

“The goal is to give people access to their best curls in the bathroom,” Ross told Allure Magazine. "I don't believe that people should have to be dependent on a professional to feel their most beautiful and for their hair to be healthy."

After all, the natural hair movement isn’t truly revolutionary if everyone cannot participate.

"If we are in a time right now, where we have gone from our hair being about a revolution to a celebration, where we allow our crowns to flourish as electric, beautiful, and gravity-defying, then we need for everyone to have access to those products so that their hair can feel as beautiful and as hydrated as it should,” Ross added.

Pattern Beauty is the realization of a dream Ross had since high school. Even though it took a while, Ross believes the line is perfectly on time.

"I was dreaming about doing this all through high school," she said. "I had logged hours and hours in the trenches with my hair. Many of us can chronicle the journey of our self-acceptance through the journey of our hair. I think, in all honesty, the timing is perfect."

Pattern Beauty will be open for business on September 9.
