Trey Songz has been arrested on suspicion of felony domestic assault. According to the New York Daily News, the R&B artist — whose real name is Tremaine Neverson — surrendered to LAPD on Monday, accompanied by his lawyer Shawn Holley.

27-year-old Andrea Buera claims Neverson allegedly attacked her in a jealous rage at his rental home, during NBA All-Star weekend

Buera appeared at a press conference with her attorney Lisa Bloom last week, and claimed he choked, punched and threw her to the ground because she was speaking to one of his friends. Buera said she and Songz previously dated.

“While I was on the ground, he continued punching me and he did not stop until his security pulled him off of me,” said Buera. “People stood and watched, and some scurried away. When I called an Uber, he threw my phone over a cliff.”

Neverson allegedly exclaimed, “You want to act like a ho and get with my boy?," according to Buera's claim.

“I tried defending myself by hitting his hand off of my neck but when I got out of the choke hold, he then started punching me in the face,” she said. “I was able to get away from him and began circling a car in the garage screaming and crying while others just watched and spread out.”

A Los Angeles judge recently ordered Neverson to stay at least 100 yards away from Buera and to avoid contacting her.

Neverson tweeted his defense of the alleged claims on Monday morning, following the news.

I won’t be speaking too much more on this but would like to thank you for all the prayers and support. ????????❤️????????— Trey Songz (@TreySongz) March 19, 2018

“He has been cooperating with law enforcement from the beginning, and is confident when all is said and done that he will be vindicated,” said a source close to Trey Songz.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney has not reviewed the case or filed any charges at this time. We'll keep you posted on further updates as they arise.
