Black Panther Day is officially here. As expected, black folks are showing up and showing out at the theater across the country. However, according to Buzzfeed, a bunch of trolls are trying it. A slew of violent photos were posted on social media along with claims that white people are being attacked at "Black Panther" showings. Each post is clearly an attempt to sabotage the film's magical opening weekend.

One Twitter profile, @AsianWifeHaver posted, "I went to see #BlackPanther with my gf and a black teenager shouted, 'u at the wrong theater' and smashed a bottle on her face."

Another tweet by @Kinda6t said, "Was at the #BlackPanther premiere but a group of black youths said this movie wasn't for me. I am white. They then proceeded to assault me. Im [sic] heading to the ER now."

After the various tweets were posted, users pointed out the fact that the trolls were using photos from past incidents not at all related to "Black Panther."

The photos comes from various sources. One photo is from an incident reported by the New York Post, and other news outlets, of a 19-year-old Swedish woman who was attacked at a bar.

Other fake posts used domestic violence photos, including a photo of former White House staffer Rob Porter's ex-wife.

Some troll accounts claimed that MAGA enthusiasts were attacking black people at "Black Panther" showings in an obvious attempt to incite fear within the black community.

Thankfully, it looks like most — if not all — of these accounts have been suspended on Twitter.
