Some quickie TV news…

First, NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution announced today it has sold daytime show Steve Harvey through 2016, to station groups across the country, including the NBC Owned Television Stations. The Emmy-nominated (for Outstanding Talk Show Host) program has already been renewed for 3 additional seasons in more than 65% of the U.S. to date.

Second, WE tv has set a title and debut date for its new reality TV series that will centers on four-time U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist, track and field superstar Sanya Richards-Ross, her fast-paced life and high-profile marriage to NFL star Aaron Ross

To be titled Sanya’s Glam & Gold, We tv will premiere the series on Thursday, July 25th at 10pm ET/PT.

Each of the six hour-long episodes of Sanya’s Glam & Gold will follow Richards-Ross as she juggles her professional life as both a competitive athlete and a businesswoman, with a busy personal life, including her relationships with her family members – her father who’s also her manager; her mother, who’s also her agent; and her cousin, who’s also her publicist and stylist. Her sister is her partner in a salon they founded together in Austin.

Third, WE tv has renewed its popular reality TV series Tamar & Vince for a second season.

Season two of Tamar & Vince (10 hour-long episodes) will premiere Thursday, September 5 at 9pm ET;.

And finally, fourth, Soledad O’Brien has signed a first-look development deal with HBO, and will also join the network’s sports journalism program Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel

O’Brien’s first project under this new agreement will be a report on what’s described as an innovative regimen at a San Diego fight club that helps veterans combat mental illness and PTSD.

It will air on the June 25 episode of Real Sports.
