As if he doesn’t already have enough to do, Ryan Seacrest has added another reality TV show to his content empire. This time, Seacrest will executive produce a new VH1 series about “a group of up-and-coming white female rappers as they aspire to and struggle for fame,” titled Girls In The Game.
VH1 has ordered 6 episodes of what will be a half-hour series, although casting and debut details have yet to be announced.
Some of you may remember that, 6 years ago, VH1 did air an earlier show about white rappers, titled ego trip’s The (White) Rapper Show, created by ego trip magazine. In the show, ten white rappers competed with each other for the chance at a $100,000 grand prize. The show was based in the South Bronx, with MC Serch (from the group 3rd Bass) serving as host. At the end of each show, one rapper was eliminated, until one remained, after being groomed from wanna-be white rapper to full-fledged and multi-faceted emcee.
