Meghan McCain signed off of The View for the last time on Friday, ending her four-year run with the daytime talk show.

Toward the end of Friday’s episode, in a lengthy monologue, McCain said goodbye to her co-hosts, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines and the show’s viewers.

“Thank you all so much again for the privilege and honor it has been for the past four years to work on this show. It really has been incredible. It will be referenced on everything that I do for the rest of my life. You women have been so incredible to work with. The crew, the producers, everyone working so hard and honestly the audience giving me four years to give my opinion and show my perspective,” she said.

She then went on to discuss that being a co-host on the show has “been a really wild ride the past four years” and that it has been the “best of times and the worst of times.”

“It’s been a really incredible and liberating experience and I will always cherish the time I’ve spent with all of you. So, thank you all from the bottom of my heart,” McCain said.

Her co-hosts, however, responded with seemingly unemotional “goodbyes” and waves before closing out the show.

Several notable figures joined the Aug. 6 show to celebrate a new chapter in McCain’s life.

Her mom, Cindy McCain, appeared on the show and told her daughter how proud she was.

“I am so proud of Meghan and what I look forward to in many ways is being able to see more of her and see more of my granddaughter, Liberty,” she said.

“She’s done a wonderful job. I love her independence. Her dad would be proud of her,” she continued.

In 2017, the conservative talk show host joined The View after her late father, Arizona Sen. John McCain insisted she do so, as Blavity previously reported.

John, however, warned the other co-hosts that Meghan would be a lot to handle. That turned out to be the case for the last four years as the conservative talk show host has had several tumultuous moments with her co-hosts.

Although this may be a bittersweet moment for Meghan, some viewers took to Twitter to celebrate her last day.

At this time, there is no word on who will replace Meghan when the show returns with its new season this fall.
