Two Waffle House employees were terminated following the circulation of a viral video featuring them pouring condiments and food on an unconscious customer.

The customer, who chose to remain anonymous, went to a Waffle House in Lithonia, Georgia, on January 2 to sober up after a night out. During his time there, he passed out. While he was unconscious, two employees and another customer placed several food items on his head, according to WSB-TV.

Video of the incident shows salt being poured over his head; the seasoning was topped with a slice of American cheese and a glob of ketchup. One person can be seen holding the man’s arms up to make it seem like he was dancing to music playing in the background. The man says he didn’t know about the incident until he came across the video on social media.

“He went to go and get his head together, get his mind straight,” his fianceé said. “He passed out during that time, and they took advantage of him.”

The man's fianceé also said the Instagram page where she found the video has more footage of similar incidents. The page is currently set to private.

"Half of the people who are on his page probably don't even know they're being exposed at the moment," she added.

Waffle House spokesperson Pat Warner confirmed the involved employees were fired last Friday.

“We have been in contact with the customer and have apologized,” Warner said in a statement. “When we learned of this event, we launched an investigation and have terminated the employees involved. Their actions in no way represent our company or our thousands of associates who strive to provide our customers with a positive experience daily.”

After discovering the video, the man filed a police report for simple battery. However, he changed his mind and decided against pressing charges, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
