Wocka Flocka has dedicated his life to suicide prevention and spreading the message of suicide helplines since the death of his younger brother, rapper Kayo Redd, in 2013.
“I’m officially dedicating my life to suicide prevention and mental illness!!!” Waka tweeted. “Y’all not alone Waka Flocka Flame is with y’all now!!!!”
In an interview with VICE in 2017, Waka Flocka expressed that having a busy schedule and not being accessible to his 22-year-old brother had resulted in guilt stirring inside of him following his brother’s suicide.
