How did rumors start that Chief Keef had been shot in Chicago?

According to Fox 32 Chicago, some fans started rumors that Chief Keef was shot while shooting a music video in the O-Block neighborhood in Chicago, which where the 30-year-old rapper was born and raised.

They also said he was on life support. Another rumor claimed that the rapper was shot six times.

Chief Keef’s manager confirmed that he was not shot

Per Fox 32 Chicago, Chief Keef’s manager, Idris Dykes, silenced the rumors. He confirmed that Chief Keef was not shot but is instead doing quite well. Dykes added that it’s been more than two years since Chief Keef visited Chicago.

Chief Keef rose to fame in the early 2010s; his early drill rap hits include “I Don’t Like” and “Love Sosa.” Drill rap is a unique genre featuring intense beats and honest lyrics that often paint the harsh realities of street life.

Chief Keef is set to perform at Rolling Loud in Orlando in May. On Wednesday, Rolling Loud Orlando announced that he’s among the artists who will perform at the three-day event.
