nullMaybe getting somewhat lost in all the TV upfront presentations over the previous couple of months, FX set a Monday, August 4 premiere date for its new comedy series "Partners" (previously titled "Braddock & Jackson") – the "Odd Couple"-like project, first announced about a year ago, that Kelsey Grammer and Martin Lawrence are starring in, as 2 Chicago lawyers from different backgrounds who form a partnership after they accidentally meet in court on the worst day of their lives. Brought together by fate and greed, they develop a business and friendship, forcing each other to find the balance between the ethical and the unscrupulous in both their professional and personal lives.

Daniele Watts co-stars, playing Martin Lawrence’s daughter Laura.

Telma Hopkins, Rory O’Malley, McKaley Miller, and Edi Patterson round out the starring cast.

Bob Boyett and Robert Horn are writing and executive producing.

Previous credits for Boyett and Horn include hits like "Family Matters," "Perfect Strangers," "Living Single" and "Designing Women," so I’m expecting something hopefully fresh.

FX ordered 10 episodes of the sitcom and, if the series does well over its first 10-episode run, the network will order an additional 90 episodes.

The series will air two back-to-back episodes every Monday for five consecutive weeks.

Ahead of next month’s premiere, FX has released 3 promos with the pair of starring actors (Grammer and Lawrence), which are all embedded below, giving you a feel for what to expect:
