Titled “Amazing Grace”, this episode of Daniel Etim Effiong’s new web series thriller, Crimson, is the first of three to be released on YouTube.

CRIMSON is a series of short factitious thrillers based on events in Nigeria’s history. It is inspired by the need to throw light on some of the darkest days of our history as a nation, the need to celebrate freedom of information and strengthen investigative journalism. 
Consisting of three episodes, Amazing Grace, Your Cup of Tea and Ink, Piss and Blood, the story is centred around Akin, an A-list detective and henchman of a notorious dictator who realises that dedication to his duty may cause him more than he bargained. He encounters three political prisoners and in his bid to crack them he comes face to face with his own demons. 
CRIMSON is loosely based on several events in Nigeria’s recent history including the “Obasanjo phantom coup, the mysterious deaths of Gloria Okon and  Dele Giwa”. It is riddled with several metaphors and expressionist in approach.
CRIMSON, a production collaboration between Blue Graffiti films and Ndani TV stars Seun Ajayi, Najite Dede, Toyin Oshinaike and Oc Ukeje. Its was written and Directed by Daniel Etim Effiong, produced by Kemi “Lala” Akindoju, shot by Idhebor Kagho and edited by Mohammed Atta.
