Here’s your first look at Episode Two of the new dramatic
relationship web series Smoke and Mirrors, created by Atlanta based filmmakers Artemus
Jenkins and KarynRose Bruyning.
Jenkins, who previously made the web series documentary, P.O.P, about the lives of performers at
an Atlanta strip club, and previously said about his new series that: “Too
often in love, people are not straight shooters. Enough of the time people
don’t simply lay their cards on the table and let the other make an educated
decision.”
And not only is Jenkins directing the series, but he’s
also starring in the lead role as well.
According to the synopsis for Episode Two it was inspired
by “a
real life situation of mine that many of us may be guilty of, or are having it
done to us, knowingly or unknowingly; “twitterstalking”
“tweetstalking” or whatever you want to call it. Terminology
aside, it basically involves searching somebodies name and checking up on
everything they do and everyone who interacts with them online. When I
discovered I was being tweet stalked, let’s just say my reaction was somewhere
between flabbergasted and flattered.”
