President Barack Obama made his final appearance as president with Jon Stewart on "The Daily Show" last night to reflect on his two-term presidency as it winds down, looking back at his accomplishments, and share his opinions on the role of government. 

There’s still "a bunch of other things we want to get done" in his last year and a half in office, Obama said, adding that, "I finally know what I’m doing," after 6 1/2 years in office.

Jon Stewart is also leaving his "office," as Trevor Noah steps in to replace him next season.

"I can’t believe you’re leaving before me," Obama said to Stewart, who’s last episode is set for August 6. "In fact, I’m issuing a new executive order that Jon Stewart cannot leave the show," the President joked.

But overall, it’s an energetic, even at times combative conversation between the two. Stewart didn’t hold back, pressing the president on several issues, particularly the U.S. nuclear deal with Iran, and the scandal over veterans not getting care at VA medical facilities.

Obama also weighed in on Republican presidential candidate/blowhard Donald Trump, whose apparently fired up his party with an onslaught of incendiary comments which I’m sure you’ve all read or heard about.

"I’m sure the Republicans are enjoying Mr. Trump’s dominance of their primary," Obama said in jest.
