It's Black History Month and the “Because of Them We Can” campaign is kicking the month off with a message about the Trump administration's use of "alternative facts" and their slanted view of the black experience.
In the powerful clip featuring a gifted group of youngsters, one child declares, "black history didn’t begin with slavery, and it doesn’t end with the Obamas.”
Creator Eunique Jones said via the group's Facebook page that the campaign, "was birthed out of the desire to share our rich history and promising future through images that would refute stereotypes and build the esteem of our children."
"Because Of Them We Can" has been keeping their promise since 2008, and the woke children in this video give us hope for our future.
