Barack and Michelle Obama are the forever first couple of the United States; everyone knows this. Given their swoon-worthy marriage, it would be logical to ask one of them for love advice if you had the chance, right? They have been married for 25 years and are still going strong!

Well, Obama's former communications director, Dan Pfeiffer, had that very chance, and he took it. Nowadays, Pfeiffer is the co-host of the popular podcast Pod Save America, and in his new book, Yes We (Still) Can, he wrote about a cool moment he had with the former president during his last day at the White House in 2015.

As the Huffington Post reports, Pfeiffer opened up to Obama about his plans to move in with his then-girlfriend, Howli Ledbetter. In response, Obama dropped some expert love wisdom.

Obama gave Pfeiffer three questions to ask himself to make sure Ledbetter was "the one":

1. Are they interesting?

2. Do they make you laugh?

3. If you were to have kids, do you think they'd make a good parent?

“You will spend more time with this person than anyone else for the rest of your life, and there is nothing more important than always wanting to hear what she has to say about things,” Pfeiffer recalled Obama telling him.

Regarding kids, Obama mused on how life long is and how important it is to focus on things that "really matter."

Pfeiffer answered "yes" to every question saying, "Howli is incredibly interesting and funnier than I am, and will be a phenomenal mom."

“Sounds like she’s the one. Lucky you,” Obama responded, according to Pfeiffer.

Just in case you're wondering, Obama was right. Pfeiffer and Ledbetter married in October 2016, and are still going strong, too.

Boom.
