VMI Worldwide brought the horror/western movie “Gallowwalkers” (which stars Wesley Snipes) out from the hiding, while Wrekin Hill Entertainment picked up USA release rights to the film.
Lionsgate (which has a a multi-year US home entertainment distribution deal with Wrekin Hill) would eventually release the supernatural Western on DVD (plus Digital UltraViolet), Digital Download and VOD (Video on Demand) , from Lionsgate Home Entertainment.
The film is also available for streaming on Netflix, so check it out if curious; although I cannot strongly recommend it unfortunately.
Here’s the synopsis again: A mysterious gunman, Aman (Snipes), is the son of a nun who breaks her covenant with God to ensure his survival. This act brings a curse upon Aman – all those that die by his gun will return. Soon, he is hunted by a gang of his undead former victims, led by the vicious Kansa (Howarth). Aman enlists Fabulos (Riley Smith), a new young warrior, to fight by his side.
“Gallowwalkers” is rated R for bloody violence, grisly images, language and nudity. If you prefer to own the DVD, it comes with special features including a featurette titled “The Making of Gallowwalkers.”
