Season 2 of Amanda Seales' web series Get Your Life premiered on Blavity, and we're living for how easy the characters and storylines are to relate to. Behind every plot point of this season is a lesson in actually "getting your life" that should be put to use by anyone looking to confidently be themselves in the face of whatever comes their way.

So what steps are involved in actually "getting your life?" Follow this timeless advice from Amanda herself:

1. Start by actually taking care of your life.

This means it's time to get your mind right. Get to the gym. Eat well. Be conscious of how much you go out. Notice that what you put in your body can correlate to what you put out in your everyday life. These habits will help you improve other areas of your life as well.

2. Change your surroundings.

Are you too comfortable? Whether you're considering moving across the country or just switching up your day-to-day routine, a change of scenery can be exactly what you need to get inspired and motivated.

3. Check your mental health, and if you think you might need it, try therapy!

Mental health is part of staying in tune with your holistic health. Be proactive about what you need. There's no shame in taking care of yourself.

4. Ask yourself, “Am I in my own way?"

Be your own biggest cheerleader. If you don't believe in yourself and put yourself in positions to succeed, you won't. Simple as that. Evaluate what you're doing and how that might be counterproductive to your goals. Set yourself up for success.

5. Reconsider who's in your circle.

Who's around you right now? Your inner circle should be full of those who inspire you with their greatness and ambition and those who support you to accomplish your goals. Don't hold on to friendships that don't make you feel good, even if they have been around for what seems like forever.

6. Figure out your passion and pursue it.

Do you like what you're doing? Are you happy with the direction your life is taking? Just because you thought you wanted to be doing something at 18 doesn't mean that's where you still want to be. Be honest with yourself and what you love to do and chase that.

Are you taking the necessary steps to get your life? Watch the show, reevaluate what you're doing and trust yourself! You've got this!
