Born in 2000, Lame started posting videos on TikTok after losing his factory job in Italy. Khaby Lame recently signed a deal worth $975 million

Khaby Lame recently took a major step in his career as he signed a deal valued at $975 million, according to an SEC filing and as reported by Forbes. The 25-year-old content creator sold his company Step Distinctive Limited, which manages his global brand and commercial activities, to Hong Kong-based company Rich Sparkle Holdings. The deal gives the company 36 months of exclusive global rights to Lame’s brand, making him an “equity-backed creator,” the company wrote in a statement as reported by Bloomberg

The deal, however, does not make Khaby a billionaire as some fans speculated online. The deal is structured as an all-stock transaction and not a cash payout. Khaby does not own the company so the deal does not directly translate into personal wealth, per Business Insider Africa. Yet, the deal is expected to be a lucrative one that could generate over $4 billion in annual sales.
