On the heels of the announcement that his annual Dreamville Festival is heading back to Raleigh, North Carolina, for a fifth year, J. Cole has also revealed that this will be the last of the event first launched in 2018.

For Cole, who was raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina, dreaming big has been the driving force behind his illustrious career as a musician, and the two-day Dreamville Festival served as an extension of his manifestation of goals.

What J. Cole says about the last Dreamville Festival

“What a ride it’s been,” Cole said in an official statement. “We can’t thank y’all enough for all the memories we’ve shared. From the very beginning, the idea behind the fest was creating a place where our fans, the Dreamville community, could spend time together, a place where they could see themselves reflected, a place to share in experiences. Let’s run it back one more time in April!”

Held at the historic Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh, the Dreamville Festival has occurred annually since 2019, except for in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Artists who have performed at Dreamville Fest over the years

It has been home to some of the hottest performances from the biggest names in music, like Lil Wayne, Rapsody, Chris Brown, SZA and a host of others.

Since its inception, J. Cole has continuously performed as the closing act for the festival on its final day, and artists from his Dreamville imprint, including J.I.D., Bas, Ari Lennox and more, have been included in recent years.

“From the moment the idea of a festival took shape, we couldn’t help but wonder: were we in over our heads? Would people come to our home in Raleigh? What would that even look like?” read a post on X from the official Dreamville account.

“We took a leap of faith—breaking ground, making announcements, and even navigating reschedules due to natures elements and a world that seemed to be falling apart,” it continued. “Through every challenge and milestone, our community stood by us. Watching people from all over the world and all walks of life gather here each year has been one of the most fulfilling chapters of our journey. Whether it’s the day-one fans or the newcomers, each reunion has been unforgettable.”

Presale tickets for the fifth and final Dreamville Festival, set to take place on April 5 and 6 in 2025, are currently available, and an official lineup has yet to be announced.
