Washington state teacher Eric Sauceraker (@esaueracker) told his students they couldn't bring phones to class during their physics midterm exam, and one of his students proved the age-old adage "where there's a will, there's a way" by bringing a record player.
Sauceraker wanted to reduce the possibility of cheating. He didn’t know his student, @TheItalianPacca, had a unique backup plan to hear his music since the teacher wouldn't allow phones for music. He didn’t say anything about vinyl records. The student completed his exam while bopping to Kanye West’s music in a more traditional way.
Students are taking their Physics Midterm exam today. I said no cell phones, not even for music since they could be used to cheat.

Hey, when you need Kanye, you need Kanye. Ironically, he listened to College Dropout.
When the instructor posted the picture on Twitter, it went viral. Many people were floored by the student’s creativity.

Nah you gotta make a recording of all your notes and have it made into vinyl, then just slap that college dropout sticker in the middle. Easy A. https://t.co/M1xDza4Peh

If you're wondering what the outcome of the test was, it seems the student did pretty well.
As a follow up:
