Whoopi Goldberg is partnering up with Maya Elisabeth, a creator of award winning edibles to launch a line of marijuana products that specifically target relief for menstrual cramps.

She has been very vocal about her marijuana use in the past, and with the industry booming right now, there’s no better time to jump into the game because the iron is hot. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the comedian, actress, and The View co-host said,” I have grown granddaughters who have severe cramps, so I said this is what I want to work on… For me, I feel like if you don’t want to get high high, this is a product specifically just to get rid of discomfort

Whoopi and Maya’s medical marijuana product line will consist of edibles, THC-infused bath soaks, tinctures, and topical rubs all designed specifically for the purpose of soothing cramps that women get from menstruation.

The company will also sell a line that only include cannabidiol, which doesn’t create the feelings and affects normally associated with marijuana use, in hopes that their products can be used for discreet relief without the high that the drug usually induces. Goldberg said,”Smoking a joint is fine, but most people can’t smoke a joint and go to work.”

Whoopi Goldberg and Maya Elisabeth’s line will be available in April, but due to the federal ban of marijuana and state medical marijuana laws it will only be sold in California.
