Will Smith‘s eldest son, Trey, celebrated his 33rd birthday with family and friends. Smith and his ex-wife, Sheree Zampino, married each other in 1992 and welcomed their son, Willard Carroll “Trey” Smith III, that same year before divorcing in 1993.
Trey turned 33 on Nov. 11 with Smith and Zampino hosting a special dinner for him.

Zampino shared a slideshow of photos from the special evening on her Instagram profile: “Wow! You are 33 Son! What a pure delight and magnificent soul you are! Your light is infectious and the love, grace, and compassion that you live & move in is such a beautiful honor, privilege & joy to behold!” Zampino captioned her post. “To say that I am honored to be your Mother would only touch the surface of the depth of my gratitude and love for you! May this 33rd year around the Sun be a portal into another dimension of brilliance & abundance! HAPPY 33rd to The AngO!”
The first photo featured herself, Smith, Trey, Jada Pinkett Smith and Jaden Smith. A video followed, showing Smith and others singing “Happy Birthday” to Trey. There was also a picture of all the Smith men, including Jaden.

Smith and Zampino both remarried, so blending their families wasn’t always easy for them. Pinkett Smith, who married Smith in 1997, and Zampino talked openly about their rocky start on an episode of Red Table Talk.
“We have developed a really nice sisterhood, but it hasn’t been easy along the way,” Pinkett Smith told Zampino, according to People. “Sometimes we did have to fake it to make it.”
As the conversation went on, Pinkett Smith opened up about how unprepared she felt for blending their family and the growth it took to accept the fact that Zampino would always be in her life.
“Trying to have a blended family and not really having a blueprint of that. We really had to figure it out along the way,” Pinkett Smith said. “For me, it was really about maturity. Just not understanding the marital dynamic, like ‘OK, the divorce papers are sent, and people are over it, and this is done.'”
“Oh, guess what — it ain’t ever done,” she added. “So that was my biggest misconception, in that this woman is a part of this family. It’s like not only taking on [Sheree and Will’s son Trey Smith], but Sheree was coming along too as part of the package.”
