With Southland now canceled, Regina King has signed up to return to CBS’s comedy hit, The Big Bang Theory, playing the director of employee relations at the university where star Jim Parsons’ character works.

King’s character was last seen fending off numerous romantic advances of the man at the office, who all seek job stability.

The Big Bang Theory returns for a 7th season with back-to-back episodes on September 26, at 8pm, on CBS.

King booked a co-starring on ABC‘s comedy pilot titled Divorce: A Love Story, which is based on an Israeli series; but it wasn’t picked up to series, unfortunately.

She’s making her feature directorial debut with an adaptation of ReShonda Tate Billingsby’s novel Let The Church Say Amen, for BET.

There was also a Shirley Chisolm biopic which King was once said to be attached to star in. No confirmation on that however. Viola Davis was also once-rumored to be interested.
