____

Fearless. Powerful. Captivating. Anointed. Cultured. Talented. Blessed.

Those words all describe the makings of an authentic female. When a woman is born, she is here to love, share, encourage, learn, teach and lead. She is light, and coursework to be studied and adorned; she is heaven.

Every woman has a sacred story. A story of trial and error, defeat and victory, success and failure. This story is HERstory, one that can only be told by her. What’s your story, sis?

Whether you’re ready to share with the world or ready to unpack by yourself, it’s your call to make. The most dynamic thing you can do is own it. Own the bruises, own the scars, own the smiles, own the laughter, own the moments and own the boss moves you've made, because that’s what makes you a Queen. Only a Queen can go through the fire and still come out gracefully.

Sis, the month of March is our season. It's our season to lean into the power of our ancestors — relative by blood or interest. The thing I love about Women’s History Month is the fact that it comes right after Black History Month. If you’re like me, you lean deeply into the celebration of all things Black culture, and March is an opportunity to continue the party.

Because this is our season, I want to share with you two affirmations toward developing your Queendom during this month.

I am capable and supreme.

Only a Queen can reign supreme. You are the ruler of your life and you are capable of making the right decisions to get your life on track. So, you messed up. It's OK! People have counted you out. God has not. It’s not in the fall, it’s in the rise. Does your story end or begin in the fall? Sis, you are capable and well able to rewrite your narrative. So, get up, girl.

I am welcomed and valued.

Are you looking for a seat at a table? Come on over to my spread. Here, we sip on love, laughter, light, friendship, good character, hard truths, timeless music and great movies. Have you found your #QueenTribe, the kind of people who challenge and empower you? Have you found people who push you to limitless potential? You’ll know when you’ve found them because they’ll fit like the perfect puzzle.

My hope for you during this month is that you reconnect to your root. You already possess everything you need. You’re just missing your confidence to be. Be whole and healed. So, this month I challenge you as a woman to be still. Before we can serve others, we must serve ourselves.

What does your soul need as a woman this month? I’m awaiting your story.
