Young Thug took aim at the elders again during an interview on the "Million Dollaz Worth Of Game" podcast, telling the hosts that he had more recognizable hit songs than JAY-Z.
Young Thug was speaking about how surprising it is that his fans know the words to all 30 of the songs on his longest setlist. He told the podcast hosts that this put him in rarified air.
"JAY-Z don't got 30 songs like that, where the whole stadium is singing," Young Thug said.
"He got a lot though," one host remarked in response.
"I know he does, he for sure does. He probably has like 50 of them b***hes. I'm not saying literally like him, I'm just saying, it's n****as who you think are the man," Young Thug said.

The discussion continued with Young Thug touting his fans and the amount he gets paid per concert.
As Blavity previously reported, he's made headlines in recent weeks over his harsh criticism of André 3000, someone who has showered Young Thug in praise whenever given the chance to.
He complained that André 3000, a music legend with decades of hits, had not shown him enough deference compared to other artists and downplayed his contributions to the Atlanta music scene.
"I can't rap you two André 3000 songs. I ain't never paid attention to him. Never in my life," the 29-year-old said after T.I. compared his fashion sensibilities to the Outkast member.
"The difference between Elton John and André is, to simplify it, Elton John likes to kiss ass, and Dre likes his a*s kissed. Elton John is like, 'Hey! I like you, I remember your first song, I remember Gucci first song, when Guwop getting out?' He a fan type of n***a, to the point where I'm like 'Let's do music,' and he's like 'n***a bet!' André more like, 'this is his secretary' aye, tell the n***a it's Thug, n***a.'"
As one might imagine, the comment section was not kind to his latest round of criticism for JAY-Z.
He want attention so bad. I have to laugh ????. Evey Hov concert I’ve been to the audience recited every lyric verbatim.

First the Andre 3000 disrespect now this?? ????????♂️ ???? ???? ???? this man needs to have several seats AT a Jay Z show so he can witness an audience sing along 30 songs PLUS.

I’m no Jay-Z fan but I’ve seen him in concert a few times. The first time at Summer Jam, he came out + I thought the football stadium was gonna collapse. Here’s 50 songs right here though https://t.co/oNvhmZY9Y4

The comment section was full of people who said the last JAY-Z concert they went to featured fans singing along to every song.
Bro I watched it on Showtime like a month ago. The crowd was reciting the words from “Can’t Knock the Hustle” to “Public Service Announcement”. They knew the words to “What We Do” and even Biggie’s Verse on “Mo Money, Mo Problems”

You are going to lose this battle 100 times out of 100. Thug isn’t selling out stadiums having everyone singing his song. He might show up at a festival with 90 other artists that sold out 100k, but he’s not doing that himself. Hov did that for 2 decades!!
— theALPASTORking (@moretacosnow) December 29, 2020
It quickly turned into a turf battle between fans of JAY-Z and Young Thug.
He didn't say he'd body or is better than Jay Z, he's saying in 2020 he has 30 to 40 songs concert-going audiences know the words to and Jay Z doesn't

This new generation is killing me with comparisons to the older generation of rappers. The audience wasn't the same, the distribution wasn't the same, plus your benefiting on the shoulders of giants. Can you compare NFL salaries now versus the seventies?

Folks are really getting on these interwebs and comparing Young Thug to Jay-Z ???? pic.twitter.com/Y8BlgzT19c
