Young Thug and Mariah the Scientist dropped complementary tracks, “From a Man” and “From a Woman.” The songs come more than a year after the singer and rapper confirmed they were boo’d up.

According to Complex, along with the song, the “Ski” MC shared its cover art featuring a black-and-white photo of someone wearing leather lace-up loafers with tall white socks on Instagram. The 25-year-old singer posted the art for her song, too. It features a close-up shot, somewhat reminiscent of Thug’s cover art, of someone wearing red high heels. The duo kept the details of the tracks under wraps in their captions, only providing the song titles and release times.

The couple previously collaborated on the singer’s 2021 song “Walked In.” The video also featured the lovebirds chronicling their fictional wedding celebration. Less than a year after the song’s release, authorities arrested Young Thug and other YSL personnel on Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act charges, Blavity previously reported.

The Atlanta native has been behind bars for almost a year and a half as he awaits jury selection in his trial.

Despite their long-distance relationship, she has held him down. During her performance at the Outside Lands Music Festival in August, Mariah the Scientist advocated for Thugger’s release.

“Now, you know I got a man,” she told the crowd, per Complex. “He locked up. Free my baby daddy!”

TMZ recently asked Mariah the Scientist, “Do people think you should break up with Young Thug?”

“They probably do, but I don’t give a f**k,” she laughed. “No, I love him, and I won’t be doing that,” she added.

The singer said they were great and shared what Thug does to occupy his time in prison.

“He has an iPad, and he plays Candy Crush,” she told TMZ with a chuckle. “He plays that every f**king day.”
