Young Thug decided not to release any music in 2018, but it's for a very personal and heartfelt reason. The rapper sat with Hypebeast for a quick interview about fashion and possible future music.

After touching on his passion for fashion,–and referring to himself as "fashion"he announced that he doesn't plan to release any new music this year. The reason? It's because of his brother, who is deaf.

"I got a deaf brother," he said. "So, I want act deaf for a year…I ain't going to put out no music this year. " He may release this anticipated Hi-Tunes.

Young Thug's creative production for 2017 included a joint-project called Super Slimey with mega-trapstar Future. This year, he hopped on tracks with rappers Young Scooter and 6ix9ine. He also released visuals for “All Da Smoke” and “Mink Flow," from the Super Slimey mixtape.

The trap artist recently made headlines by announcing a name-change from Young Thug to the eyebrow-raising–"SEX."
