The 2013 Tony Awards will be broadcast on CBS tonight, starting at 8pm, with Neil Patrick Harris hosting.

While I plan to tune in during the first hour, I’ll likely be clicking over to HBO at 9pm to catch the season finale of Game Of Thrones – something that I’m betting others will be doing as well, which could mean a tough ratings night for a show that’s already the least-watched of the EGOT entertainment awards.

But if you happen to be tuned in for the full broadcast, here’s what you should know about what black performers are up for Tony Awards tonight:

– Cicely Tyson, nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play (A Trip To Bountiful)

– Billy Porter, nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical (Kinky Boots)

– Valisia LeKae, nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical (Motown The Musical),
