The Houston Astros took home their first World Series championship Wednesday, Nov. 1 after besting the much-lauded Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1.

Nearly two months ago, the city was in a state of disarray because of extreme flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey. An estimated 50 plus inches of water displaced thousands, cut off major highways and caused upwards of $200 billion in damages.

This win is a bright spot for the beleaguered city. Rappers from Houston knew this too as they took to social media to show their love for their city post-Hurricane Harvey.

Rapper and tech investor Chamillionaire declared on Twitter that the Astros were the world champions by invoking the iconic Queen song.

Houston's own Travis Scott can be seen celebrating as the city's baseball team closed out the epic championship series.

The incredible Trae Tha Truth, who has been active in the community, could not believe the city finally has a World Series championship of their own.

While the city has not fully recovered, this win is a much-needed blessing for the people of Houston.
