If he were a cocktail, rapper Aminé says his vibe is that of a rum punch.
As we head into the holiday season, the rapper is collaborating with Captain Morgan for the NFL “Follow the Captain” campaign, and it is a match made in heaven.
“It seems like everyone really wanted to work together and the commercial that we did was something that actually was adjusted to my style of comedy so it just felt personal to me and it felt natural to work with Captain on this,” the emcee told Blavity.
Throughout the current NFL season, “Follow The Captain” has served as an adult scavenger hunt where fans have the opportunity to compete for cool items like jerseys, game day prizes and even the chance to score tickets to the big game, Super Bowl LVIII.
What’s more, fans even have the chance to see Aminé live for former NFL star Victor Cruz’s house party in New York on Friday, Nov. 17.
“I really think house parties are always about the crowd… like, who’s there? It’s all about these people who are really excited and just being able to be somewhere that feels a bit more exclusive because concerts are back and people are having a good time and go to shows all of the time, but this doesn’t feel like a typical concert. It feels like something a bit more personal and exclusive for people to attend,” he explained. “Off the bat, its exclusivity and its location in New York makes this an event to be excited about. I remember growing up in middle school because those were the times where you still acted like a kid, but you didn’t feel like you had to take yourself too seriously and that’s the kind of motto I like to bring to any house party.”
