As folks on Twitter tear each other apart over Drake's beard, other people dug up an old tweet of the 6 God and turned it into one Twitter’s new faves. 

Drake has pretty much dominated the summer. But there’s much more Drake to be desired with Shiggy's "In My Feelings" challenge winding down.

Recently, the 6 God was spotted in New Orleans with Big Freedia filming a video for his No. 1 hit single "In My Feelings.”

While the conversation could have centered around how the city which birthed jazz would feature into the vid, such a subject would be too mundane for the Twitterverse. Drake's beard, however, was a different story. It appeared to be a fake lace front man wig for the face.

Photos circulated online seemingly showing the beard peeling off in the hot New Orleans heat. But, it may be overhyped. 

A tweet from 2012 has almost overshadowed the controversy, and now it is the center of the Drake stans' world.

"What am I gonna do," he wrote. "Say no?" The simple tweet captured what it is like to refuse a gift and speak up if you hate a service.

People ran with it and turned the 6-year-old tweet into comedy gold.
