Months after being arrested at a Georgia mall for allegedly illegally selling his mixtape, an aspiring rapper is now appearing in court to defend himself against felony charges.

As Blavity previously reported, Corey "Lil C Note" Jackson was visiting family in The Peach State. The young entrepreneur was posted up at a local Cumberland shopping center. Shortly after, an off-duty deputy approached the young man, grabbed him by his arm and accused him of loitering. His aunt captured the entire interaction on video.

According to CBS 46, Lil C Note appeared in court on Tuesday, and his lawyers oppose any wrongdoings on his end.

"When he was there, he was not selling any c.d.s or doing anything that would have been prohibited he was there meeting other artists," attorney Mawuli Davis said.

Davis is banking on the case being dismissed. If not, CBS 46 reports they will move forward with a trial.

Lil C Note shared his reaction to the court appearance on his personal Instagram Friday.

"Seriously like I really wake up everyday asking myself why would this police officer tell these ludicrous/ridiculous stories on me that now have me having to go to court facing a felony at 12 years old as if I’m really a robber, killer / Murderer or some kid that cuss out and fight police officers or sum!!" a portion of his caption read.
