Another 4/20 has rolled up on us, and it's time to get high on black excellence. Just like in every other field, black folks do weed better, too. Just like a nice grade of kush, we loud with it. We got it like that. There have been countless character in TV and film that pay homage to this fact, and we want to celebrate!

1. Smokey And Craig in Friday

First of all, the nickname of Chris Tucker's character is a direct homage to weed: Smokey. He is the guru of the green. And Ice Cube's Craig has an iconic moment when Smokey passes him a joint … his very first one. We never get tired of watching him get higher than Zeus on a parasail.

2. Darius in Atlanta

We already told you how we stan the quirky king, Lakeith Stanfield. His character Darius is a huge part of that. In the first season of Atlanta, Earn expresses interest in managing Paper Boi, but refuses a hit of a blunt, so Darius drops some weed wisdom asking, “You want to manage a rapper but you can't do business high?”

Plus, the Teddy Perkins episode in Season 2 is basically one long, bad trip for Darius AND the audience.

3. Rodney in Baby Boy

Played by none other than Snoop Dogg, King Of Kush, First Of His Name, Rodney's character in the classic Singleton film is quite memorable. That epic moment when he dazes off to Bootsy Collins' "I'd Rather Be With You" is a blazed mood

4. Silas and Jamal in How High

Unmatched duo Method Man and Redman star in a movie that will have you wondering whether or not you're sober. We're sure you've seen it, and if you have, you know it's one of the most outrageous movies in existance.

5. Dank in Disjointed

Portrayed by SNL 's Chris Redd, Dank is a great representation of that friend we all have that gets goofy every time they get high.

6. Van in Atlanta

We're hopping right back down to the "A" to shout-out Van (Zazie Beetz), who stands out in a black-male-dominated television show. But, make no mistake … she can puff with the best of them. Van especially shined in the "Value" episode from the first season, which was mostly dedicated to her character.

7. Cleo Set It Off

Before there was the female-led reboot Ocean's 8 there was Set It Off! As the ladies plan out their bank heist, Frankie (Vivica A. Fox) says, "Cleo you go survey the line for the COW." Cleo (Queen Latifah) responds, "COW? There's gonna be a cow in there?"

Then Stony (Jada Pinkett-Smith) sighes, and says what we're all thinking, "Stop smoking weed."

Make sure revisit a couple of these classics — or all of the above — as you celebrate 4/20 and beyond. And remember … puff, puff, pass.
