Update (March 23, 2021): The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office is looking into potentially charging the drug dealers who supplied Bobby Brown Jr. after a toxicology report revealed that the 28-year-old died from a toxic cocktail of tequila, fentanyl and cocaine, according to TMZ. 

As Blavity previously reported, Brown Jr. was found dead in his Los Angeles apartment in November and no drugs were found when police arrived. 

Police also told TMZ that they do not believe there was any foul play involved and a witness reportedly told them that they saw Brown Jr. take a shot of tequila, snort half a line of Percocet and another line of cocaine. 

Family members of Brown Jr. said he was not feeling well days before his death. 

It is unclear what charges are being looked at by prosecutors, but police have long said more needs to be done to stop drug dealers from cutting drugs with fentanyl, which is highly addictive and is often the root cause of overdoses. 

His death is still listed as accidental, according to TMZ. 

The death is yet another tragedy for music legend Bobby Brown. He lost his daughter, Bobbi Kristina after she was put on life support following a bathtub incident in 2015. He also lost his ex-wife, Whitney Houston, after she drowned in a bathtub. 

Brown Jr.’s brother, Landon Brown, wrote on Instagram in January that he was still struggling to deal with his death. 

“There are nights when it's unbearable, and I fall to my knees in disbelief. When my eyes are burning from so many tears. When I feel like I'm desperately flailing my arms for someone to keep me grounded. I hate these nights, but I also love that you are so on my mind. I miss you,” he wrote. 

Original (November 19, 2020): Bobby Brown Jr., the son of R&B legend Bobby Brown, was found dead in his home near Los Angeles on Wednesday, according to TMZ. His tragic death comes five years after the death of his half-sister, Bobbi Kristina, and eight years after his stepmother, Whitney Houston’s shocking death. TMZ also reported their deaths. 

The cause of death has not yet been made public.

According to the Daily Mail, police responded to a “medical emergency” during the early afternoon. Officers reported that they do not suspect foul play.

As the news of the 28-year-old’s death began to spread across social media, many offered their condolences to his family. 

One fan acknowledged the significant losses singer Bobby Brown had already endured after losing his daughter and ex-wife. “So sad for Bobby Brown. Your wife..daughter..and now your son,” she wrote.

One fan realized that his child had been friends with the young man and shared an adorable photo of the two children with Bobby Brown at a hockey game.

“OMG! Just found out…he and my son were very close growing up! Bobby practically lived at my house during hockey season! Such a shocking tragedy,” the Twitter user claimed.

Another fan offered prayers to Bobby Brown as she observed that he experienced tragedy after tragedy.

“Lord, Bobby Brown goes from one tragedy to the next. Bless Bobby and give him the strength to carry on. Heartbreaking,” she wrote.

Brown Jr. was the third oldest of Bobby's seven children who include Bobbi Kristina, LaPrincia, Landon, Cassius, Bodhi and Hendrix, the Daily Mail reported.

His older half-brother, Landon wrote a touching Instagram post with a beautiful photo of his baby brother.

Brown has not spoken out yet about his son's death.
