The controversial rapper recently announced his plans to enroll at the HBCU over the weekend at the annual "Soul Bowl" — a matchup between the two rival universities Jackson State Tigers and Alcorn State Braves.
"I've been coming to Jackson since I was 14, and I love y'all," Boosie begins. "Y'all love my stanky drawers, and I love y'all back. And I just want to tell y'all that y'all always been supportive of me, and it's a big secret–I wasn't going to let it out–but I'm enrolling in Jackson State next semester."
Bystanders in the video were noticeably happy for the "Set It Off" rapper and reacted excitedly, showering him with praise. — It remains unclear what degree the 39-year-old Baton Rouge native plans on pursuing at JSU in the spring semester.
"I'm gonna see how it feels to walk around the campus," Boosie continued. "Talk to girls with a book sack on! I wanna feel normal. I miss that part of my life! So I wanna enroll and be able to walk down the thang and go to class and try my brain — cause I still have matter up there that needs to be explored!"
His plans to pursue a higher education come almost eight years after completing the Angola State Prison GED program, while serving an eight-year prison sentence for conspiracy to smuggle drugs into the prison in 2013.
