Christina Milian knows a thing or two about longevity!

Since the very beginning, the entertainer never looked at her career as “just another job” to check off the list. Instead, each moment, whether it is showcasing her talents as a singer and dancer or tapping into her acting chops, is all about walking in her purpose.

“I think one of my secrets to longevity is staying humble and always looking back to where it all started,” she told Blavity in a recent interview. “For me, at a very young age, I knew that I wanted to do this. It’s not something that I really had to discover. This feeling that was within me, this dream, it was just always there. So, now that I’m living it and I know it took a long time to get here … I look at those things now and I’m just so grateful. I’m super grateful.”

When she isn’t killing it in the entertainment sector or pursuing opportunities to showcase her entrepreneurial spirit, Milian fulfills a job that she said is worth more than any award or accolade — being a mother to three beautiful children.

What’s more, she revealed that her kids are the inspiration behind the latest partnership she’s inked with Lysol as the world prepares for the cold and flu season.

“I have three kids and we have daycare, but I also have a husband who is on the road, you know, performing in front of masses of people, shaking hands, signing autographs and we all come home and still live this very normal, loud, fun life,” the “Dip It Low” singer said.

She also revealed that one of their favorite activities just so happens to be singing, which she didn’t realize produces as many germs as it does.

That’s right, one minute of singing produces 1,000 virus and bacteria-filled droplets, which is why Lysol Air Sanitizer has quickly become a new go-to product for Milian and her family.

“You need to be able to know as a parent that you have an ease of comfort knowing that your kids and your family are protected, so I’m really excited to team up with Lysol because they have the new Lysol Air Sanitizer, which kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria, but in the air,” she explained. “This is the first time that I’ve heard of something like this, which is exciting because I feel like I’ve been looking for this for so long.”

Milian continued: “I keep joking and saying how you can go a whole day without touching surfaces, but can you go a whole day without breathing? The answer is no. The air that we breathe is just so important for what we’re inhaling and what we’re putting out there, so to know that the air is being sanitized is such a cool and pivotal thing in this day and time of our lives.”

To celebrate the launch of the new campaign, Milian joined Lysol during the Music Midtown festival in Atlanta to demonstrate just how the new product works through the Air-aoke interactive karaoke experience.

“I’m going to Atlanta and we’re gonna be doing this Lysol Air-aoke pop-up, and this is exciting because I got to pick my songs already so I’m gonna sing maybe a little “AM to PM,” but I’m also going to gravitate to P!nk with “Raise Your Glass” because it’s a fun song,” Milian said. “I like doing fun songs that make people dance and not take themselves too seriously.”

The activation will utilize LED technology to showcase how the brand’s latest innovation, the Lysol Air Sanitizer, can kill 99.9% of those virus and bacteria droplets that hit the air when someone is singing.

As for the future, Milian aims to continue being the best mother and wife that she can be as well as the best business partner to her best friend, Elizabeth Morris, with whom she launched Beignet Box in 2019. Together, they bring the delicious New Orleans staple to the LA community with two brick-and-mortar locations in California as well as two active food trucks.
