Ciara was unable to control her laughter when the topic of her co-parenting with her ex-fiancé Future came up in a recent interview.
The “1, 2 Step” singer sat down with The Shade Room for an exclusive chat about various topics, including clapping back at trolls, her music, family life and entrepreneurship. One of the highlights of the discussion, though, came when Ciara responded to the host’s question of “What is co-parenting like for you guys?” The Grammy winner answered with a quick giggle that quickly turned into a hard, long-winded laugh.
Despite Ciara’s lack of words, many acknowledged they understood exactly what the Atlanta native’s reaction meant, especially knowing the history of the former couple.

“The most classy way to say, ‘HE ain’t s**t’ 💁🏾♀️,” one person said.
“In other words ‘Chile next question’…,” someone else wrote.
“The fact the laugh just kept going on 😂 she said a lot without saying it,” another person commented.
Ciara and Future met and started dating in 2012. They got engaged the following year and the soon-to-be mother of four gave birth to their son in May 2014. A few months after welcoming their son, allegations of cheating arose, which was the demise of the relationship and they broke it shortly after.
Last year, Ciara revealed in an interview with Women’s Health she realized she needed to do some self-work after her breakup with Future.
“I told myself I’ve got to figure out how to navigate in the next chapter of my life,” she said at the time. “All the things I was aspiring to have at that time, even thinking about love, I was like, It’s going to happen when it’s supposed to. But I can’t love anybody to the best of my ability if I’m not loving on myself. I can’t be the best mom if I’m not loving on myself. So I put more focus on me, taking care of me; it was the best thing I could have done.”
The effort she poured into herself shined bright and caught the attention of her now husband Russell Wilson (they tied the knot in 2016). The couple’s whirlwind romance has garnered lots of support since for many onlookers, they exemplify Black love. Together, Ciara and the NFL quarterback share two kids, Sienna, 6, and Win, 3, with another on the way, along with her son Future, 9.
In early August, Ciara announced she was pregnant again through an Instagram video. In the clip, she starts off facing the camera at a pool before turning the side to show off her growing belly. The Beauty Marks Entertainment CEO’s “How We Roll,” which features Chris Brown, played in the background.
“You look at me like that again, we make another kid… You my heart I’m your rib 🥰😘❤️” she captioned the black-and-white video.
