Colin Kaepernick announced on Twitter Thursday that he has wrapped up his #MillionDollarPledge initiative. He successfully donated $1 million to various charities over the course of 10 months.

“I started my #MillionDollarPledge to help organizations on the ground doing work in our communities. It was never for or about me – it has & always will be for the people. We have work to do & the only way to get it done is if we all work together,” the former NFL quarterback wrote in a tweet.

A few weeks ago, Kaepernick revealed that he planned to bring others into his pledge, giving away $100,000 by matching a series of $10,000 donations.

So far, he and other celebrities have given money to several community organizations, such as Mothers Against Police BrutalityBlack Youth ProjectAssata’s DaughtersCoalition For The Homeless and more.

The 30-year-old also announced that although he's completed his pledge that he's far from finished. Boston Celtics player Jaylen Brown, TV personality Nessa, Dr. Dre, DJ Khaled and Diddy will join him for what he's termed his #10For10 Encore by each donating $10,000 to charity — above and beyond the $1 million already donated.

What a dope way to start black history month!
