Dallas Cowboys' Marquez White's 2017 run-in with a man with road rage ended up with him being arrested.

According to FOX 4 News, the cornerback was arrested on June 15 and indicted on aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges. White is out on $7,500 bond.

According to White, in October 2017, he was driving on the highway when a driver nearby forced him into a wall.

“A car was coming up on him suddenly, which wasn't giving him any room,” said White's attorney Toby Shook. “He had to choose between hitting the retaining wall or getting ahead, so he accelerated.”

White said things took a turn for the worst once he got off the highway, with the driver "aggressively" tailing him, hurling racist insults, including "n****r" at him and threatening to kill him.

After noticing the driver reaching in his glove box, White said he quickly flashed his weapon as a warning.

In a statement released to his local paper, the Dothan Eagle, White said, “On the day of October 20th, 2017 I was involved in a road rage incident in which my life was threatened and resulted in me having to draw my weapon. I was getting off of highway 121 onto the access road near Tennyson Parkway in Plano, TX where I was met by an aggressive driver. I was trying to get over to avoid running into the wall where the lanes merge, but he then increased speed forcing me to make the decision to either run into the wall or cut him off."

The other driver allegedly followed White home. White said he parked his car, ran inside, and called the police. No arrests were made that day, or at all, until last month.

White's gun was legally purchased, and he has a concealed handgun license issued in Florida.

White's and the other driver's accounts differ. White claims he did nothing more than flash his gun, while the other driver claims White pointed the gun at him.

"Me and my legal team believe strongly that this a personal attack on my image as well as the Star,” White concluded.
