The rap journey is over for Rap Sh!t.

Deadline reports that Rap Sh!t, executive produced by Issa Rae and The City Girls, has been canceled after two seasons. The second season had already faced hurdles due to the writers and actors strikes preventing the actors and producers from promoting it. Because of that, the season premiere was moved to November. However, even with the ability to promote the show, the series has been let go as Max continues to reduce its show slate.

Max said through a spokesperson how the streamer is happy to have hosted Rap Sh!t for its two seasons.

“We are extremely grateful to Issa Rae for creating Rap Sh!t, a one-of-a-kind comedy with compelling social commentary that reached viewers in a way only Issa’s talents can accomplish,” said the spokesperson. “A huge thank-you to Issa, showrunner Syreeta Singleton and the teams at Hoorae and 3 Arts Entertainment for introducing us to Shawna and Mia, a duo whose journey fans have invested in and who they have continued to root for through everything. We’ll never get Seduce and Scheme out of our heads, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.”

The series starred Aida Osman and KaMillion as Shawna and Mia, two friends from Miami who decide to get famous by forming a rap duo. This season found the women facing a crossroads about what they were willing to do to gain the fame they desired.

The series also starred Jonica Booth, RJ Cyler and Daniel Augustin.
