House Democrats have released never-before-seen images of Jeffrey Epstein’s island residence. The new files, which include photos and videos, offer a look at the various rooms and objects seen on the private Caribbean island of the convicted sex offender, according to The Guardian.

New photos of Epstein’s private island have been released

The photos taken from Epstein’s island include an image of a chalkboard showing the words “fin,” “intellectual,” “deception” and “power.” Another image shows a dentist’s chair and masks hanging on a wall. According to the New York Times, the chair may belong to one of Epstein’s ex-girlfriends, who was studying to become a dentist. She also shared an office with one of Epstein’s shell companies, the Times reported.

The video clips released alongside the images also give the public a more thorough look at the residence. As The Guardian reported, the images, which were provided by officials in the Virgin Islands, were captured in 2020, which is marks one year after Epstein died in jail.

Epstein owned two private islands in the Virgin Islands

One of the islands, named Little St James, is also known as “pedophile island.” Per The Guardian, the attorney general of the Virgin Islands reached a settlement in 2022 after alleging that “dozens of young women and children were trafficked, raped, sexually assaulted and held captive” at Epstein’s Little St. James residence.

House Oversight Committee leader Robert Garcia called the images “disturbing,” adding that it’s important to be transparent as the public waits to see the full release of the Epstein files.

“We are releasing these photos and videos to ensure public transparency in our investigation and to help piece together the full picture of Epstein’s horrific crimes,” Garcia said in a statement, according to The Guardian. “We won’t stop fighting until we deliver justice for the survivors.”
