Once news broke about the financial aid scandal at Howard University, it was all anyone could talk about. Tyrone Hankerson, Jr. has been accused of misappropriating financial aid funds for personal use while he worked at the university's financial aid office. Although Hankerson has claim innocence, Twitter isn't having it.

Amid the Tyrone scandal and other funding issues, the students of #HUResist are calling for the resignation of the institution's president, Wayne A.I. Frederick, and have included an official list of further demands for change.

On Thursday, a large group of students went to the university's administration building to demand the recuperation of the lost funds. In a very apropos chant, Howard students started shouting, "Bitch better have my money," in reference to Rihanna's popular song of the same name.

And because you can't get a group of young black folks together without swag surfing, that happened, too:

The students also chanted things like, "It is our duty to protect our freedom!," and Twitter was all over it, of course.

Howard University Student Association president Jade Agudosi officially stood with #HUResist in calling for Frederick's resignation at the protest:

The protest grew to be so large, HU closed the administration building, and sent campus police guarding the entrance:

The students of #HUResist have vowed to continue their protests of the president until his resignation. He has not announced any intent to step down.
