The Jennifer Hudson Show is back for its second season, along with all new guests and even more feel-good surprises. On Oct. 2, EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson returned to daytime with footage of herself crashing the wedding of some of one lucky couple

Hudson surprised Los Angeles couple Traci and Pat Jean-Baptiste with a performance her 2008 hit, “Giving Myself,” at their wedding.

“We are here today at Traci and Pat’s wedding reception. I’m here to surprise them. They have no idea that I am here,” Hudson told viewers. “I got this huge performance planned for them. The mama don’t even know, the family don’t know. Don’t nobody know nothing!”

While the couple was taking photos, the crew got the wedding guests to quickly evacuate the reception area and head to a surprise performance location. When the newlyweds returned to their empty party, needless to say they were confused.

“Where’s everybody?” the groom asked while the bride gasped, “What in the world?” as they were led into the purple floral-hued hallway where all their guests now stood.

Hudson remained hiding behind a curtain while the couple made their way to the center of the room. The couple and their guests were stunned as the curtain fell to unveil the “Spotlight” singer.

“Congratulations, Tracy and Pat,” Hudson said. “And to all of y’all, this is for you!”

Hudson reunited with the newly married couple on season two’s premiere episode, sharing that she felt like she was “looking at my family all over again.”

While the couple was still in a daze over Hudson’s pop-up performance, she had a few more surprises up her sleeve. In a partnership with Expedia, she gifted them a honeymoon anywhere in the world!

Throughout the rest of the season two premiere, Hudson shared her summer playlist, saying that Usher‘s new song, “Boyfriend,” with Keke Palmer is her latest obsession. She also joked about wanting to see the R&B singer in concert but confessed she’s fine with sitting in the back rather than ending up onstage.

“Usher be out there skating, and then he get his little moonwalk on and dancing. That’s not my department. I think we know that now,” she joked.

The show’s season two premiere week continues with great guests, including The Voice coaches Gwen Stefani and One Direction’s Niall Horan, along with Taye Diggs, Cedric the Entertainer and Shaquille O’NealThe Jennifer Hudson Show airs on weekdays.
