Jimmy Butler‘s longtime goal of opening a coffee shop came true during Miami’s Art Basel week.

During an interview with GQ in May, Butler shared his plans to open a brick-and-mortar in Miami for his coffee brand Bigface in September. Although it was just a few months behind schedule, customers living in the area or visiting can now submerge themselves in a sophisticated brew experience at Butler’s new coffee shop.

“Dreams change each and every day.” Butler said at the time. “Ten years ago, it wasn’t my dream to open a coffee brand or open a coffee shop. But it was once I got into coffee. The fact that me and my team are able to make my dream come true — I got really good people to work with and collab with. Their vision is just as big as mine, if not bigger.”

Ahead of the grand opening, fans of the company could only buy its original coffee beans, cans of coffee, apparel and barista gear online. To share the news with coffee lovers, a couple of days before doors opened the business’ Instagram page posted a short ad featuring Butler with the caption, “The wait is over. BIGFACE by @jimmybutler is officially opening in the @miamidesigndistrict. Experience a new frontier in coffee, this Friday, December 6th at 9 AM ☕️ 40 NE 40th Street.”

According to the Miami New Times, customers can enjoy their coffee and pastries orders in the shop’s lounge section or on the outdoor patio. BigFace’s signature coffee bean options El Placer, La Margarita, Earthshine, Nebula and Doublestar, along with the popular canned oat lattes in original, coconut cinnamon and ube vanilla are available for purchase.
