Singer and The Sex Lives of College Girls star singer Reneé Rapp appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and did a Destiny’s Child duet with Hudson!
Rapp also revealed she was once in a girl group before becoming a Broadway breakout/television actress/burgeoning pop star.
During the show, Hudson asked Rapp what girl groups influenced her most, and the 23-year-old said she was in the group Daddy’s Little Girls when she was younger. However, she now realizes how different it sounded as an adult.
“That’s how I think of it much later in my life,” Rapp said. “I’m like, ‘Is this weird? for sure.'”
The singer and actor also shared how Destiny’s Child was her “everything” growing up, prompting Hudson to reveal that her favorite song from the group is “Dangerously in Love.”
The pair then performed the 2001 hit single, and the audience cheered as Rapp showed off her vocal skills toward the song’s end.
As we previously reported, Rapp is known for her roles in The Sex Lives of College Girls on Max and Mean Girls on Broadway. However, she was 16 when she went viral for covering R&B singer Bryson Tiller’s songs, including “Don’t” and “Exchange” on the former video-sharing outlet Vine in 2016.
The singer has garnered a large fanbase on social media and released her full-length album, Snow Angel, in August. Earlier this month, she performed ‘Exchange” and brought Tiller out during one of her concerts in Los Angeles.
Several fans posted videos from the show on TikTok, with Rapp sharing a stitched video reliving the timeless moment.

“I’m still kind of geeked, kicking my little feet,” Rapp said while laughing in the 14-second clip. “That was cool.”
Since then, the post has amassed more than 431,900 views on the platform. Rapp’s fans were in the comments section, raving about the performance and how legendary she’s become.
