Mari Copeny, called Little Miss Flint, continues to showcase her baby black girl magic as she launches a new GoFundMe campaign to help Flint kids see Black Panther. The movie, which hits theaters nationwide February 16, will undoubtedly be a pillar of black film excellence.

Little Miss Flint is the latest to join the #BlackPantherChallenge, which raises money for kids in underprivileged communities around the country to see the film.

The #BlackPantherChallenge has already helped kids in Harlem and the New York metropolitan area get tickets to the film's premiere. At the time of publication, the Flint, Michigan, campaign had raised over $600 of its $5,000 goal. This would be an amazing treat for the children of Flint, who have experienced a ‌water crisis that began in 2014.

“The Marvel movie Black Panther is going to be a very important film. There has never been a blockbuster film featuring a majority black cast,” the GoFundMe statement reads. “This campaign is a part of the #BlackPantherChallenge, a challenge started by Frederick Joseph in New York City. This is important for every child especially those of color, to see themselves represented in a cinematic feature film. It is so important that marginalized children see a representation of themselves, especially in a city like Flint, Michigan.”

If you can, please donate. Keep going, Mari! We see you.
